i have a hell lot of photos.. because i am a cam whore (quotes BEN!) but at least i take pictures for everyone to see okay!! (me giving excuses for my disorder.) anyway.. the road trip was really really fun.. we had so much recap on geography classes in secondary school with us trying to recall all the rock formations and stuff..
let begin with the 5 hour drive to Albany.. with min and zac speeding at 140 to 160kmph on the highway..
min took the wheel first while i read the maps..and jules and zac caught a nap..
check out jules' eye patch.. glam!! jules was all ready for sleeping in the car.. haha.. and zac had his pink blanky that he was super protective of.. haha.. min kept shifting off to the side of the road onto the road shoulder.. and jules woke up more than once.. haha..
we passed small towns that were like out of movies where they film old towns.. reminds me of the wax museum (movie with Paris Hilton?.. yes.. i watched that crap)
halfway point.. zac and min changed their seats.. and zac.. drove thinking that he was some F1 driver.. and we reached Albany..
finally some form of civilization.. we had lunch at some chinese restaurant, and the waitress could ony speak minimal english and preferred us to speak in chinese. wahaha.. jules' chinese is terrible.. haha.. then it was map finding.. search for the tourist information..
and when we finally found it.. jules had to sign the guest book.. NICE.. stupid aussies think we are part of China.. please!
then we drove to The Gap.. its a natural granite formation that is said to be the edge of Antarctica when Australia and Antarctica were once ONE continent called Gondwana. so the waves erode the rocks till a Gap is formed..
it was a beauty standing in the strong wind, watching how the earth is such a beauty.. freaks me out that one day the world would become like what was in Wall-E..
jules decides to do some awkward poses.. OMG!
group shot!! the wind was so strong that we had to cling onto each other at some point..
and jules and min thinks that the plants on the stone look like corals or seaweed..

haha.. we are such lame shits!!
then we walked to the natural bridge.. which the waves have eroded till its a bridge.. sooner or later it will collapse and form another gap..
none of us had balls to walk down to take a photo..
then it was to the blow holes.. where the waves had made a crevice out of the stones such that when the waves crash they'll spray out water or make how blowing sounds.. i took a video.. but since the wind was so strong.. i couldn't hear the blowing after replaying.. and we saw the back of a whale.. it was such an awesome sight!
while walking back.. a rainbow.. a full rainbow.. you'll never see such a magnificent rainbow in Singapore.. we just stood there in awe.. zac says its God fulfilling one of our promises.. and yes we know which one that is.. haha
then it was down to the Salmon Holes.. where salmons reside and breed when they want colder waters.. no salmons though.. just a beach that was beyond words..
it was just so beautiful.. nature is such a great thing..
then it was up stony hills.. where we really climbed all the way up. past the tracks.. onto to top of the peak of the stony hill
only zac and min dared to walk that far.. awesome right!
the view from the top.. its just so different when you are up there..
last stop for the day of sightseeing.. Mount Clarence.. where we get to see the whole of Albany..
and some replica monument about and Australia - New Zealand.. (yes i know you can read too!).. i can't remember what this was about cause we were all too hungry after all that walking and climbing.
so dinner was at Middleton Beach Fish and Chips.. it was really not bad for the price.. and it was really very quaint.. as if we were back in time man..

our seafood box!! for $9..
last stop was home for the night. YHA backpacker's hostel..
which jules totally fell in love with the cat there.. while i was really taken aback by the lodging and i really suspected if the sheets were clean.. ah.. just me being paranoid.. even in Singapore chalets i doubt that the sheets are cleaned.. only in hotels i believe the sheets are clean! so yes. thats me being an idiot..
we played "tai-di" till like 11pm.. then we went to sleep amidst zac's snoring that was pissing all of us off.. and thank god i brought my own blanket! haha.
janice... day 1.. i heave a sigh of relief.
