its back to being me again. hello work. its monday.

i appreciate how weekends are spent doing nothing. i feel i'm getting old. the body seems to be able to let u know that you aren't able to stay up for hours non stop. but on the other hand if you enjoy what you do then maybe you'll never feel tired. its like a double edged sword.

i don't even know how long i can stay in this company when work suddenly seems stifiling. it seems scary yet challenging. that feeling of uncertainty.

i want to learn so many things yet i'm so limited by resources. though i know i should count myself lucky that i even manged to get a double degree overseas. i need to learn driving and i want to learn Korean, but its quite sad that its not as popular as Japanese or French. and i also need to learn some basic sign language too.

janice. sometimes dreams are called dreams because they can only be true in dreams.
fell in love with this Korean Drama called You're Beautiful. terribly upset that its over after 16 episodes. its the goofiest romantic comedy drama i've watched with the perfect cast. it made me finish 19 hours of drama in 2 days.

its the typical korean super hot boy band needs new member, the guy chosen has a failed plastic surgery and his twin sister (a nun in training) steps in a pretends to be him till he returns. Arrogant leader finds out she is a girl/ hates her cause she keeps messing things up but helps her keep the secret for the band's sake. and the typical part come HERE: she falls in love with him, he likes her/ finds out that she likes him, but due to many circumstances he can't like her. Second male lead aka the sacrificial lamb also likes her and 'saves' her way too many times. so does the goofy third male lead.

But in the end, its a happy ending.

the main reason why i love korean shows is also because of the behind the scenes footage, though i've been watching CSI for 9 seasons, there is less than 10 videos of behind the scenes footage. but every episode of korean drama there is like 10mins per episode. and its funny like hell, but u also get to understand how difficult a production can be. like falling down more than 10 times for a 10 sec shot. or braving the cold winds and rain.

i'll miss the pig-rabbit, the lame korean pop song/ commercial parodies, i'll miss the handsome cast and the soundtrack.

janice. no more eye candy and brain food. i call it an addiction but hock says i'm possessed. but it seems i'm not alone. though the ratings were around 10-12% in Korea, its been doing super well online. its viewing is no 1 on ppstream and other sites, its a landslide margin. read HERE.

PS: i just said goodbye to my last weekend alone till feb. 5 months

its 2pm. more than 19 hours since i had my last meal. and my poor lunch is sitting in the conference room. and why can't i take my lunch?

boss is praying.

praying as in so loud that i can hear snippets of it. and yes i'm not anti christ, but for god's sake. don't make your problem mine. and this is office not church. though yes the holy sprit is every where and God is always with us. but they have been having that session for 2 hours.

janice. finally they are out. LUNCH!

it seems that i'm the only idiot that brings my camera every where, because since i was camera-less when my parents went to Venice (which was very pretty) and they borrowed my camera. My Dad still claimed that camera isn't very good, but he HAD to admit that my camera is awesome after he came back.
anyway. so yeah. for yee fung's 23rd, we had NO CAMERA! gross like hell, you know though everyone's phone has a camera (except than my lousy V3 that still uses VGA), it still is gross not having a proper camera. and we took photos with Inky and Yee fung's phone. :( i missed my darling called canon.

photos from the night when i finally met my poly lovelies since so long, i vowed to arrange more meetups before Paul leaves for Brisbane. ANOTHER one to UQ. how gross.

janice. tmr more photos from zah's engagement with marcus. and i'm still coughing.

I AM SO GETTING A GREYHOUND WHEN WE GET OUR OWN HOUSE!

WHY? because it is more suited for an apartment than a bloody jack russel. and its also lovable.

It is a gentle and intelligent breed that often becomes attached to its owners. A combination of long, powerful legs, deep chest, flexible spine and slim build allow it to reach average race speed speeds of in excess of 18 meters per second (59 feet per second) or 65 kilometres per hour.
(hock can bring the dog running)

Although greyhounds are extremely fast and athletic, and despite their reputation as racing dogs, they are not high-energy dogs. They are sprinters, and although they love running, they do not require extensive exercise.
(janice can also bring the dog to walk)

Most are quiet, gentle, affectionate animals. They do require enough exercise to keep them healthy both mentally and physically, with regular walks and occasional trips to the dog park.

Greyhounds bark very little, which helps in suburban environments, and are usually as friendly to strangers as they are with their own family.
(the bloody neighbours can't complain that my dog makes too much noise)

greyhounds have very thin skin and low body fat, so they are better at adapting to hot environments
(my dog from Australia can adjust to Singapore weather)

Greyhounds do shed but do not have undercoats and therefore are less likely to trigger people's dog allergies.
(my asthma won't be much affected)

Greyhounds are typically a healthy and long-lived breed, and hereditary illness is rare.
(i won't be too sad if my dog keeps dying and less vet fees!)

At home, greyhounds may consider the house to be an extension of their crate, which they will usually not voluntarily urinate or defecate in. As a result, housebreaking may be surprisingly easy.
(no pee all over the place)

Janice. thank you darling! haha
i'm so sick that i can't spell properly. hacking cough, swollen eye.

kudos to me and not resting for the weekend, might take MC tmr once my bloody proposal is done today.

janice. oh gawd.

alex is the sweetest! he wrote me a song.

J-DawgJanice is her name
And science is her game
She lives in Singapore
Which is far better than Kuala Lumpur
She has long black hair and a very pretty face
She could outrun anyone in a big busy race
Though she lacks stature and height
She makes up for it by always being right
She came to Murdoch and it was like she was here all along
So one of her flatmates decided to write her this song ^_^

written by Alex Wilson.

and i cried reading this. i think i was really God blessed when i moved into flat 2.

it seems that since we are so pally now, people would assume that we have always been like that. but NO! i remember being so irritated with Alex for being Alex, and he hated me for always cracking my joints. and Min and Hanisha for being such bimbos in the kitchen/ cleaning. And Kirke for always being so "weird" and drunk.

But once we got to know each other and the meaning of compromise, i've learnt to love them more that i love myself. I remember Alex for waking up 3am when a drunk dude Andy stumbled into our flat. and Kirke for helping me find Hock's shirt when it was lost in the middle of the night. Min for always being there with school work, dishes, nail painting, shopping, groceries and so much more. Hanisha for always being in the kitchen with me and chatting up into the late nights and lending me her textbooks.

work has been better lately, and i guess when i look at things positively, i seem to work better and that equals less facebook during office hours. and how can work not be better tmr after alex's song.

janice. bed time. good luck for your exams darling(s)!

marketing and sales ARE NOT THE EFFING SAME THING!

super pissed off with people in the office claiming that i'm SUPPOSED TO DO SALES because i have a marketing degree.

fuck off!

"Selling is one activity of the entire marketing process.

Selling is the act of persuading or influencing a customer to buy (actually exchange something of value for) a product or service.

Marketing activities support sales efforts. Actually, they are usually the most significant force in stimulating sales. Oftentimes, marketing activities (like the production of marketing materials and catchy packaging) must occur before a sale can be made; they sometimes follow the sale as well, to pave the way for future sales and referrals."

janice. i really need a day of leave!

i just cleared all 8 episodes of gLee! OMG. its the most awesome show ever, drea told me to watch it since i loved Fame and Jules' blog is also plastered with Glee, so i though why not?

And i spent my Saturday burned watching GLEE, and i can't wait for the next few episodes (and seasons) to come out! and i totally didn't like high school musical, because they sang for every single thing, but in gLee, singing was part of a performance which is great! though they don't have the best dancing (they have amazing voices on the other hand), i feel that their acting is realistic and it brought me back to things that happened in secondary life.

i also randomly selected a movie called August Rush on ppstream. and it was touching, but not really realistic. not to mention that Freddie highmore is adorable to the extent that i want to take him home. he acted in Charlie and the chocolate factory as charlie and the lead in spiderwick Chronicles if you find him familiar.

August rush is about a boy, who was raised in an orphanage and had a music talent beyond mozart. quote: he can hear music in the wind (thats really pushing it. but whatever) so he goes on a trip to find his parents who turns out are musicians (oh well) and had a one night stand after love at first sight but they lose contact because of various typical reasons.
This is how he looks now btw, such a cutie. i can't believe i'm saying this but he actually looks like a more good looking version of alex. HAHA!

its a show that you should really watch, it was touching to me since music has really changed me, since secondary school. though its not the glitzy singing/ dancing like in gLee or the talented music composer in August Rush. it has changed me.

To be honest, i've never been good in music or marching or whatever a good band member was supposed to me. i was just good at trying. and i think i tried hard enough to come where i have ended up. its good to look back and the crossroads that we once had to choose, and though many ask "what if ..." i know that deep inside i would still have chosen to be in band.

sometimes when we choose to take the hard roads, we look back not as winners but as preservers.

janice. i'm glee-ful

my lady boss just told me she is pregnant!

and the thought of her and my boss that just went through my mind was so wrong.

janice. its almost the end of today
somehow i feel no urgency to work today.

somehow i miss you more today.

somehow i'm enjoying today.

somehow i found out there will be a new baby in our office today.

somehow i feel like lying on the floor to take a nap today.

somehow my students know how to cheer me up after looking at photos today.

somehow i feel blessed today.

somehow things feel different today.

janice. is looking forward to yesterday.
gross as it can be, i'm still thinking where to use my precious 1 day of paid leave.

haven't been blogging much because i've been reduced to becoming a dead pig by the time it hits 11pm. sometime i wonder why i lug my bloody lap top home to just leave it on the side table.

last sunday was zah's engagement and thanks to Kaiyee's friend who came and took pictures that put my camera to shame, we had an awesome time chilling, chatting and eating mee soto. which resulted in my longchamp having a mee soto smell. it seems that its rather good at absorbing scents.

haven't caught up with marcus in ages too.

i know i should upload more pictures, but its office time and i'm too lazy to wait for blogger to load them up.

yesterday was the busiest days of work and i had the most beautiful dream that i didn't need to go to work and i woke up to my nightmare. but i made it through a stronger and aching person. it was awesome having Ad teaching with me, finally someone i can chat with, and so it learns, the person that looks the most trusting can actually be the biggest blabber mouth. gross i hate office politics. and seriously i missed having someone to talk to. after that i met Re who was off to church for rehearsals, but it was nice just chatting with him for an hour. and he sent me back in the cab before chugging off for musical.

janice. its nice having someone open the cab door for you. :)

azzah asked me yesterday: so hows your bf? Do you miss me?
me: He is good, stressed over exams.. and no i don't really miss him.

why?
everyone always asks me, why am i so nonchalant about him not being here, why am i so cold, why don't i look the weeiest bit sad when i let him go?

how?
how can you not miss him? how can you cope?

the answer, by not thinking about him much. you see, people always seem to relate male- female relationships as love that brings you up yet down. but for me, i've come to terms with him not being around. for coming 2 and a half years, a super large chunk of it was LDR. so i try not to think about it at all. if he is here, its awesome, if he is not just be it.

some people may feel that i don't love him anymore or i've given up on this relationship. but seriously piss off. if you've never been in a LDR you have no right to comment on my life at all. its the toughest relationship i've been through. but yet through all the trials and tribunals i know somehow we'll pull through because love isn't about telling each other about love, its about sacrifices and sacrifices.

janice. i'm actually dead tired.
Just got an email from the Murdoch Ambassadors:

Hi Everyone,

We’ve got a tour booked for Albany on Friday 4th December from 11:30am-12:30pm. There will be approximately 20 Year 11 students coming. If you’re available to take this tour please let me know.

Best of luck for the last week of semester and your exams

Sucks big time to be back in Singapore, sometimes.

met up with Marcus and Zah for her engagement yesterday. saw Sa'adah too! and OMG her whole family actually knows us by name! i mean i haven't been to her house since like what sec 4. i love her family to bits! anyway. i'll have to wait for pictures from GuoJie our photographer, who is such a cool dude. ha. miss all the arty farty people. and Marcus and i went to watch This Is It after that. OMG it was boring as hell. i respect MJ and the fact that he is into his music and he really knows his stuff. but oh gawd. his style is the same. but i guess thats what people love abt him. Respect.

janice. okay la. back to bloody work and phone calls. why did the weekend just disappear? WHY!
