ROD 2006

Now.. about the long awaited ROD.. it was really one of the BEST ROD's i've had since joining band..

the march in to begin with was grand.. though they reused the videos.. i still felt like tearing.. but i had to keep it in as i had a speech later.. and i gave the shortest speech.. only 3 mins.. (cool right??) and the food was good. though not fantastic.. it was good.. and everyone really dressed up for it this time.. it was so formal in a way... everything about it was good..

and kenrick's speech used some stuff that i typed from my blog... it was so funny seeing my terrible english being used for the ROD... but still i enjoyed... the kids performances was great.. creative.. lame.. but it made me laugh.. wei yuan looking damn blur with the strokes.. joel so cute.. the tuba saxaphone trombones making that malay styled performance that was so funny... it was just great!!!!!!

it was entertaining.. not boring.. serious yet not formal.. one word sums it up.. warm.. i felt it was like a family gathering.. i saw so many of my alumni...i think around 50 plus came back... GOOD job felix!!!! Though Springfield could'nt take part... i guess it was still enjoyable..

i totally forgot to bring my camera.. so i'll ask kaiyee and bob to burn a copy of photos for me...

This is just a great way to close 2006.. thanks everyone for making my dreams come true...

Chirstmas 2006

i shall post my happenings in 2 sep posts since they are diff stuff.. first the christmas stuff.. on thurs aaron, yee fung and liza came over to my place at 8plus to have dinner and pass them some cookies i baked.. i really missed them and it was so fun making fun of liza.. she was super slow at catching the jokes la.. wahaha.. den they went home at 1045.. and i continued baking

work was really fun.. i had the best christmas 'party' at the work place.. my lab was like the most happening... In the morning.. hock.. lisa and i gave out choc and cookies to all our lab staff... wahaha.. i baked till 3am man... and i was glad that everyone liked them.. shangwei gave us a box of chocs each.. hee.. and he looked damn happy to see presents from hock and i.. if i had more hands i would have baked for my alumni too.. then for lunch we went to level 2 to have a buffet lunch provided by the company.. however it was only for non academic staff.. so all the doctors and principal investigators were not able to go.. oh well.. maybe they have some roof top party.. wahaha... the food was quite good.. poor kian hong was part of the orangizing commitee.. haha.. he sure was busy...

next i went with lilies, sindhu and jie yu (shangwei's new student) to cold storage at holland village to buy xue hui's and ma ming's present and we went to the shopping center above to walk.. it was damn interesting.. i hope that we have another time to go again... and at cold storage we met hock, jason, chantel, zhi gang and paul.. jason gave me a piece of mango chicken made by his mummy.. it was yummy.. and on the bus back.. paul gave me a choc bar.. and zhi gang gave me a kiss.. and gave hock 2 kisses.. a hershey kiss la.. wahaha..

after all that eating and shopping... we went back to level 8 to eat SOME more!!!! and then it was gift exchange time.. i got hock's chocolates.. he got my cookies.. wahaha.. and eat more and more chocolates.. damn fat now.. So this was my whole collection from work.. wahaha..

After work.. i went with lilies to buy a dress for the ROD the next day.. and she needed to buy presents for her gift exchange.. so the dress below is my new dress...

den i went home and dear came over.. and he stood outside.. i was wondering what he was up to.. and behind his back was a SUNFLOWER.. my first flower from dear.. so sweet

But.. dear just left for japan this morning.. i miss him.. fatimah is in malaysia.. meli is in shanghai.. hai... i'm all alone this christmas..

monday to weds

its been a busy week.. my days are filled with work and nights are full of stuff.. hmm.. and i just realised that the whole world is having holidays la..

Monday was family gathering.. i took a pic with my niece.. cute ya?? exactly 12 years my junior.. rabbits.. hee

Tues was celebration for gerald's birthday.. we had dinner.. though it was a simple fare... but i felt it was seriously not worth the money.. the cake we bought was really nice and worth it...

Today i had lunch at NTU alumni club.. and took a pic with maureen who is working there...
The rest are some interesting things i see at biopolis or when i'm out for lunch.. i dunno what those black fishes are.. seem like sharks to me...hmmand this was a dead frong jia ying and fatimah showed me.. may it RIP..

at 23:48:58 last night.. meli called.. she was going to shanghai le.. and i'm missing her already.. LOVE U MELI... have a safe and fun trip... hope meli buys tons of goodies for me.. wahaha.. the band should be back by now.. i still dunno what happened... but i guess everyone is sleeping now...

teachers and students

the rain is just pouring.. i intended to go shopping today.. but the weather made me stay home and be a good girl.. ironed the clothes and folded the clothes... helped my mummy cook and pack the house.. wah.. so tired... i just recieved sindhu's sms.. i'm going threading on thurs with her.. hee.. hopefully this time it won look so weird.. whee..

dear was supposed to come today to watch movies at my place.. but.. since his exam is tmr.. study was of course the most important thing on his list.. i could wait.. heee

the band is coming back tmr!! hope they had fun.. and hopefully james would have RIP-ed.. haha.. i'm waiting for the good news.. hope the sick teachers didnt bring their spouses along.. the previous trip was totally not a band trip.. it was full of not important people that totally couldnt take care of the kids.. hai.. the teachers now at getting worse.. very low quality.. high quantity...but on the other hand.. the kids are getting worse too.. bad behaviour.. hai.. so the question is did the egg come fist? or the chicken?? so did the teachers cause the terrible behaviour or did the students cause the teachers to become like that?? i really dunno.. my brain does not have that many foldings to think about such in depth stuff..

hmm.. the ROD is coming.. what am i going to do.. i seriously don wanna talk..

i just awoke from my 12 hour slumber... i feel more sick than anything now.. dunno what made me so tired yesterday.. hmm.. i was trying to keep my frigging eyes open throughout my 9pm show.. bai wan bao... (its a nice show.. its been some time since i was chasing dramas.. but this one has chengxi acting.. who is er jie's friend.. so she watches it with me.. but only his acting la.. haha... and i think zoe tay, li nanxing and pan lingling are damn good.. haha.. it really makes me laugh.. and most of all.. i get to hear milubing sing the song that starts the show... whee)..

yup.. that seems to have brightened my day.. i forgot to mention my outing with my pals on monday.. though it was a short dinner.. we really had fun bitching about rich people who have too much money.. while we are like scrimping like hell.. and alot of other stuff.. hahah.. but since everyone was not looking their best.. we didnt take photos... but this is to my sisters... my best pals..

neverending thoughts??

i simply cannot understand whats wrong with my brain.. or maybe my soul.. if there is one to begin with.. however.. my mood seems to be like a see saw.. one moment.. i can just enjoy being my carnky self.. and the next.. i just don feel like making a sound... maybe there are just too many little things that are stucked in my brain.. sometimes i wonder how much can this little brain of mine store..

sometimes.. people think i'm straight forward.. i like it.. and i don.. i'm such a fickle minded person.. hai.. i don like keeping stuff to myself.. i write what i like and say what i wanna say.. but sometimes.. i get hurt in the hustle... but i guess.. i get my message out and clear.. don mess with me.. but.. there are times when.. i have fun fighting..

today... i managed to fish out some stuff from fatimah.. about.. "hemm".. i guess only jia ying, fatimah and i would know what i'm crapping abt.. whee.. freaking bored in lab.. wonder what to do next.. i really wonder....

nothing better to do

i've seriously nothing better to do... its been a busy day... yearning to go shopping.. manicure.. threading... to be a women.. and lose weight.. and i wanna buy the december stars album with milubing in it.. wah.. time to save... save and save...

to all those that are in my lab: the weird people are getting weirder.. getting on my nerves!!!

wah.. life has been quite sickly man.. dunno whats up with my body.. my tummy has never recovered quite well after that sandwich incident which i puked quite badly.. hai... dear has been quite sick too.. and his exams are next week.. i'm glad that he is recovering well today...

well.. i baked on sunday.. it was this recipie that i got online.. deluxe marshmallow chocolate bar.. everyone except "XBB".. she freakingly "eee-ed" at my stuff.. when i offered it to sindhu.. and when i gave lilies and sindhu the recipe.. she actually had the freaking cheek to 'discuss' it with them.. i seriously get disgusted with these people man.. arrgh... this is a pic my cake.. it might look weird.. but it had rave comments man!!

Sunday was another nice day... er jie's friend june brough her dog shadow over.. he was so cute.. and tired after a half hour walk in the sun.. poor thing.. and he was very intelligent and interested in the house.. we kept him at the yard though...

today.. it was a fun day for lunch.. i managed to grab some nice scenary photos at biopolis.. and i met maureen at NTU alumni club.. she is working there.. and steph is working at MOE.. so near me... hahah... but i've been so busy myself..

A giant tree at the top of the 'hill'.. i found this tree interesting.. sometimes i'm just in awe by nature...
The view from NTU alumni club... it was a cloudy day.. about to rain... but nice weather.. and there are gardens in the buildings.. i've yet to check that out..

Another tree within biopolis.. this has alot of bird nest ferns.. very interesting..

today.. the band has left for thailand.. i hope they enjoy theirselves and kill JT..
