I've been so busy with studies, and camping out in the library with my earphones. but today was a super fun day. gotta study more later once I've sort of rested enough.
I helped out the Career Counsellor Professional Development at Murdoch today, it was so entertaining. Played with hydrogen cars, saw our law students (hot intellectual boys in suits. YUMM) present a case at the moot court, met Grant Stone head of the Laughter Club here. did some laughs (we looked really really stupid, which made me laugh harder) met the Deans of each faculty. Talked to way too many teachers from the High schools.
I think the awesome thing is that as student ambassadors here, its so different with Singapore. i have to really mingle with the crowd, not just bring them around. talk to them, one of them was telling me about his kids and fishing. haha. and i also got to make friends with a dude from Brunei- Azahar and a chick that has Irish backgrounds- Siobhan (pronounced as "sher-von") and another Australian chick- Rachael. spoke to one of the staff that has this awesome English accent.
ahh. what a fulfilling day, got a free lunch and tea from the university too. took a few muffins home. haha.
well, on a side note, I've applied for a job here after an offer came. Its a research based job to assist some Japanese researchers on fruit flies in citrus fruits. they pay like $22 an hour. But. BUT the thing is that I'm just trying my luck. I'm just so chill about it, its a bonus if i actually get it. The thing is that people around me are over reacting. LIKE SERIOUSLY!
omg, they act as if I've gotten the job, or that i don't know what I've gotten myself into.
chill people.
"emex" were convulsing like fishes out of the water about coming to visit me at my new house? min just called telling me that i need to apply for visa. i really appreciate their enthusiasm, but i doubt I'll get the job, why, because I'm not Australian. its just that simple.
nevertheless, i love these people. and i will miss them either way.
janice. back to my books.
